The workshop’s objective is to provide structured Ultrasound training to candidates in the MEM, MRCEM, DNB, MD, DEM Training programs, or EM/ICU/Anesthetic Consultants aiming to fulfill the portfolio requirements of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.
This workshop assists them in refining their skills to align with RCEM standards, ultimately leading to successful sign-off.

Eligibility

  1. Perform USG in department on regular basis
  2. Maintains a log book
  3. Has done a Introductory POCUS Course/Workshop in the past-RCEM e-Learning, National Conference Workshop or a local led course.

PATHWAY TO GET ENTRUSTMENT
SCORE 4 / PRE-WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Submission of all reflective notes on relevant modules on the Cloud platform by 2nd week of October. (Minimum 10 in each module)
  2. All assessments will be pre-marked by the workshop faculty to provide personalized feedback during the event.
  3. On the day for workshop after assessments by faculty, an entrustment score for each module will be awarded.
  4. Candidates will have a chance to achieve Entrustment Score 4 in future courses if less than 4 achieved in the workshop.

Introduce the workshop objectives and agenda. Familiarize participants with the Entrustment Scale and its significance.
9:15 AM – 10:00 AMTheory Session – Pitfalls, Salient Techniques, and Tips, Report Modules
Explore common pitfalls in image capture and radiology interpretations. Provide practical tips for efficient image capture and analysis.
10:00 AM – 11:30 AMPractical Session: Hands-on Image Capture
Faculty members will provide personalized guidance and support during the

11:45 AM – 1:00 PMAssessments Part 1
Each participant will undergo a 30-minute assessment on specific modules.
Faculty members will evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
Entrustment scores will be assigned for each module.

Each participant will undergo a 30-minute assessment on specific modules.
