By Air: Hyderabad is well-connected with many of the major national and international airports via the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA). The airport is located in Shamshabad about 20 kilometres from Hyderabad city. A dedicated flyover, the PVNR Elevated Expressway (India’s longest flyover) provides fast, signal-free, uninterrupted connectivity between the airport and the city.

One of the busiest airports in India by passenger traffic, RGIA has separate domestic and international terminals with 4 visa-on-arrival facilitation counters apart from 96 check-in counters and 42 Immigration counters.

While free shuttles connect many locations within the airport, the state government runs air-conditioned electric buses and Volvo buses from various parts of Hyderabad to the airport. Taxi/cab (Uber, Ola) services are also available and the airport has four Rapid Exit Taxiways.

Leading airlines, both domestic as well as international, operate flights to Hyderabad International Airport with a good frequency.
